We TV Announces 7th Season of Mama June Family in Crisis With Brand New Trailer 744

The seventh season of Mama June: Family Crisis is nearly upon us, and We TV is finally sharing the details of what fans can expect to witness this year.

On Tuesday, April 15, the network announced the popular reality series will return on Friday, May 30. The season will see the family in turmoil as June Shannon fights for custody of granddaughter Kaitlyn after Anna Cardwell’s death and while she and Justin Stroud also search for a larger home. At the same time, Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson is waiting for June to pay her back the approximately $30,000 she owes her— and worried Dralin Carswell might end up in jail.

All of this — and more! — is hinted at in the season’s trailer, which begins with June telling the group, “Even though we might be a dysfunctional family, the dysfunctionality works for our family.” In the next clip, Alana is seen asking June for the money she owes, as June hands her what appears to be a dry-erase board in the shape of a giant check.

“This isn’t a game,” Alana tells the camera. Pumpkin also reveals to the family that she and Josh are getting a divorce. “Am I okay?” Josh says to the camera. “Definitely not.”

A judge ruled in June’s favor on September 20 after a lengthy court battle with Anna’s husband Michael Cardwell. Anna and Michael’s relationship began when Kaitlyn was 8 months old (Michael is not Kaitlyn’s biological father). Michael initially filed to regain visitation and custody of Kaitlyn after Anna died. June retaliated by filing an emergency ex parte and was granted temporary custody of the then 12-year-old.

The judge ruled Michael “will have no right to visitation as such, unless otherwise expressly agreed to by the parties and the minor child.”
