Jinger Duggar, Jeremy Vuolo Detail “Devastating” Week After Joseph Duggar, Kendra Duggar Arrests
Amid the legal trouble Joseph Duggar and Kendra Duggar face, his sister Jinger Duggar and her husband Jeremy Vuolo addressed how the situation is “painful on so many levels.”
Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo are asking for prayers amid a difficult time.
Less than a week after Joseph Duggar and his wife Kendra Duggar were each arrested, his older sister and her husband expressed how they were processing the “devastating” situation.
“We wanted to share a few things that were on our heart while also taking a bit of space this week,” Jeremy explained in the abbreviated March 25 episode of The Jinger & Jeremy Podcast. “It’s been a really difficult week for us to process and think through and pray through this with the podcast.”
Joseph was arrested in Arkansas on March 18 for allegedly repeatedly engaging in “unlawful sexual activity” with a then 9-year-old girl during a 2020 family vacation in Florida, according to a prior press release issued by the Tontitown Arkansas Police Department.
Days later, the 31-year-old and his wife Kendra Duggar—who share four children—were charged with four counts each of endangering a minor in the second degree and child endangerment in their home state. Kendra, 27, was arrested March 20, before being released later that same day. (Joseph has remained in jail as he awaits extradition to Florida.)
For Jinger, 32, she emphasized that the week since her brother’s arrest has “been one of those weeks that feels like years.”
“I did not think my heart could break like it has this week,” the mom of three explained. “The pain and heartbreak that we’ve had over this and just thinking of how it’s affected so many. It’s just unthinkable. It’s so hard and painful on many levels.”
As Jeremy shared that he and Jinger have been praying for the alleged victim in Joseph’s sexual assault case, as well as for “Earthly justice” for those involved, Jinger admitted, “I don’t even have words.”
