Bringing Up Bates: What Is Katie Bates Up To Today?
Katie is becoming more of a social media influencer, just like many of her siblings. The Bringing Up Bates star has been endorsing different products, ranging from baby to household items. Katie has also been very supportive of her husband’s music career, which is also one of the main reasons why they relocated to Tennessee. They rented a house in TN for several months before purchasing their own home last year. Katie and her family just got back from a beach vacation. But amid all the positivity, many were shocked when Katie shared their recent visit to the hospital for baby Harvey.

Katie Sends Baby Harvey To The Hospital
Katie Bates Clark recently took to IG Stories to share why she sent baby Harvey to the hospital. According to the Bringing Up Bates star, she had a cardiologist appointment for Harvey to get an echocardiogram, and they were thankful about the healthy results. Katie then mentioned that her father-in-law has a genetic heart condition and recently underwent open heart surgery. Due to this, they wanted to make sure that baby Harvey didn’t inherit the illness. Travis was also tested and does not have the condition. She continued, “Harvey’s heart valves are completely normal and free from any issues! Everyone, especially Grandpa, is relieved and grateful for this wonderful news! God’s so good!”

Bringing Up Bates: Will Katie Bates Do The Same For Hailey?
Some fans on social media also react to Katie Bates Clark’s post about baby Harvey. Many were curious if the Bringing Up Bates star would also get her daughter Hailey checked. However, some think the genetic issue may be with the Y chromosome only, which means that it could only be passed down to males. Regardless, many fans still hope that Katie and Travis will do the same checkup for Hailey.

- “It’s possibly is either a genetic issue with the Y chromosome only or that it’s much more likely to be passed down in men.”
- “I am curious about that myself, but it is far more common in men than women so maybe that is why they only tested Harvey. My husband actually has this condition and so does his brother. At some point my sons will need to be tested. My daughter was born with a different heart condition and had extensive testing so we know she doesn’t have it (this was actually before my husband was diagnosed).”
- “It’s probably a Y chromosome trait.”
- “It may just be passed through the Father. It’s a good question.”
