Jana Duggar Debuts Blonde Hair Transformation Days After First Pregnancy Announcement

Jana Duggar is stepping into her pregnancy with a brand new look!

On Tuesday, Aug. 20, the 19 Kids and Counting alum, 35, revealed via Instagram that she wanted a hair transformation after going a year without getting her hair cut or colored.

“I’m going to get my hair done today,” the former reality star said while sitting in a car. “It’s been over a year since I’ve gotten anything done to it — cut, anything. It’s kind of bad. Probably going to get it cut, get some highlights and things added in just to give it more life and color.”

Duggar’s video then cut to her sitting in the salon chair and having a consultation with her stylist. The pair decided on how much hair to cut off, with the new length hovering a couple of inches above her chest.

After getting cut, Duggar’s hair was sectioned off so the stylist could place her hair in foils to pull out the highlights.

After a trip to the sink and a blow-dry from her stylist, Duggar’s hair transformation was complete. She went from a grown-out blonde, to a healthier — and shorter — highlighted ash blonde with highlights running throughout her hair.

“Hair is done! I love it so far. I think [husband] Stephen [Wissmann] will love it too. Perfect,” she concluded the video.

In the caption of the post, Duggar revealed that it was “way too long” since she had been to the hair salon. “I’m feeling like a new person,” she added.

Duggar’s hair transformation comes two days after she announced that she and Wissman — who is the brother-in-law to her younger brother, Jeremiah Duggar — are expecting their first child together. The baby news comes one year after the pair tied the knot.

“We are so excited, January 2026 is going to come with a little bundle of joy joining our family,” she wrote on Instagram on Aug. 18. The post featured Duggar and Wissmann sharing an intimate embrace as he cradled her baby bump.
